Robinson Crusoe Island is home to a fascinating array of seabirds, like the petrels that choose the archipelago as a nesting site. We offer guided treks to visit the petrel nests on the cliffs. Elsewhere on the island, particularly around the Plazoleta el Yunque, you’ll find the famous hummingbird, the Juan Fernández firecrown (Sephanoides fernandensis) and the Juan Fernández tit-tyrant (Anairetes fernandezianus), birds which attract ornithologists from around the world. We also offer offshore excursions to observe seabirds as they migrant across the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. |
